Green Woman Wins in Lake Worth
Cara Jennings, Palm Beach Green, is now commissioner in Lake Worth, Florida (Palm Beach county). Grassroots support led her to an impressive 61+% victory (1589 v. 985) for City Commissioner in District 2. Against all odds, more people voted in the runoff than in the initial election. Her opponent lost votes from the first to the second round, while Cara's votes more than doubled, which is a testament to the great runoff organizing done by Cara's team. Palm Beach Post article. First Green Elected to Statehouse Wins 2nd Bid!
