9 am Panel - Sustainablility & Democracy Day Teach-In - morining Plenary
- 1st United Methodist Church (NE 4thSt. & Biscayne Blvd.). Panelist Marta Benevides, a Green, will speak about Water Privatization. The morning panel is sponsored by Polaris Institute, Via Campesina, International Institute for Cooperation Among People, Earth Justice, Hiaitian Advocacy Platform for an Alternative Development, and Public Citizen.
2 - 3:30 pm Workshop - Roots of Corporate Power - Doubletree Hotel (1717 North Bayshore Drive, Miami , just East of Radisson Hotel), Key Largo Room. Presenters: Chris Doran and Ben Manski. Both presenters are in the Green Party. Chris is director of PressurePoint, an NGO concerned with corporate globalization and presented at the Global Green Forum held in Porto Alegre, Brazil during the World Social Forum last January. Ben is on the national Steering Committee of the Green Party of the United States.

3 - 5 pm Workshop - Global Green Charter and International Politics - Doubletree Hotel, Key Biscayne Room (across from Radisson--see "Press Conference" below). Topic: Discussion of the role of the growing international Green Party movement (over 100 countries) as it relates to governments and civil society in the movement for environmental safeguards, workers' rights and sustainable development. Panel includes international Greens Marta Benevides of El Salvador and Mexican Congresswoman and President of the Ecology Commission for Mexico, Jacqueline Arguelles. Also presenting are GPUS International Committee members Annie Goeke (co-chair), Jim Polk, and Alan Kobrin as well as Ben Manski of the GPUS Steering Committee.
5:30 pm - Green Party Press Conference - Radisson Hotel, Market Room (1601 Biscayne Blvd.). Featuring Medea Benjamin, founder of Global Exchange and former Green Senate candidate from California. There will be, among others, speakers from the Miami Greens, the Green Party of Florida, and national and international Greens.

12pm-6pm - Coalition March and Rally for Global Justice
Location: BayFront Park Amphitheater, Biscayne Blvd and NW 1st
Greens will organize to march together; check with Green contact number, before the rally. [ 305 283-7271 ]
Description: The main rally and march of the mobilization will bring a diverse lineup of speakers to voice their opposition to the FTAA and to propose alternatives to neoliberal trade policies. The march will be kicked off by a rally at BayFront Park Amphitheater, then travel through downtown Miami, past the official meetings, and return to the Amphitheater for a finale with musical entertainment. The march will incorporate a symbolic delivery of ballots outside the trade ministers' meetings and will be peaceful and permitted.
